Emma Stone: SNL

I wanted to post these fun portraits of Emma Stone from when she hosted Saturday Night Live a few weeks ago. I grew up a huge Saturday Night Live fan and so did Emma so creating these portraits together was way more fun than should be allowed, especially making her into Charlie Chaplin. Emma adores Chaplin, City Lights is her favorite movie of all time so it seriously couldn’t have been any more her.

I love how photographer Mary Ellen Mathews’ portraits for the show are so full of life and color and I think she really captured how thrilled Emma was being there.

There’s never been a single time when being inside studio 8H was lost on me, but this time had to be the best! Emma was so in her element and I’m convinced that if they asked her to join the cast tomorrow she’d do it in a second. Oh, did I mention that the Kings Of Leon just happened to be rehearsing on the stage next to us?

The week flew by, probably because we were having the time of our lives. Actually the entire 4 years I’ve been working with Emma has felt that way. I’m already looking forward to next time—because I know there will be one.

Rach, you are my hero and I love you so much. Thank you for the best week ever. Here’s to the next four years (and hopefully many more!)
Emily – you have your mom’s eyes without a doubt. Rachel – whomever you are, you have a gift and thank you for sharing it with us through Emily! Carol Baetzel
I’m totally stealing Emma’s “Roses” look for a special holiday party this year! Kudos!
Rachel – I remember these commercial break portraits more than anything on the show from that night. I love the Chaplin one and I’m now an even BIGGER fan of Emma’s than ever before. Thanks for sharing your talents, Rachel and Happy New Year.
