Mandy Moore: AMA’s

Yes, she’s beautiful has a great voice and may just be the sweetest girl on the planet but who knew she had those gams? Well, It’s doubtful anyone will ever forget after seeing her in that sequined Matthew Williamson mini dress last night on the AMA’s red carpet!

It’s so great to see Mandy back on the red carpet again, she’s always such a breath of fresh air! I think the world of this girl and wanted her make up to reflect her energy as well as compliment her bold dress choice.

I used soft peaches and beiges to create a dimensional, monochromatic make up. I wanted the pastel shades in the dress to be the only visible stand out colors keeping the rest of her look soft and warm.

On her eyes I defined her crease with Nars Surabaya Powder Eyeshadow then blended Nars Corfu Cream Shadow on top creating a pale gold wash over her entire eyelid. I lined her eyes with Stila Stay All day eyeliner pen in brown defining the lash line and extending edges just a bit. I used Shu Uemura lashes on the ends adding individual lashes intermittently throughout finishing with Givenchy Phenomen’Eyes Mascara in black on the top and bottom.

On her cheeks I used Chanel Biege Felin Lipstick as a cream blush—it seriously makes the most amazing blush ever if only they would make it into one! I dabbed a small amount along the top of her cheekbones with my fingers then blended all the way up toward the hairline.

I wanted her lips to be a pale sandy beige, thankfully she happens to have gorgeous full lips so nude looks just amazing on her! I used one of my favorite nude shades of all time Shiseido’s Perfect Rouge lipstick in Dune and finished with a touch of Chanel Rouge Allure lipgloss in insouciance for shine.

Sequins or no sequins Mandy lights up any room she enters, but last night she was truly a picture of radiance not to be outshined.
