Emma Stone: Friends With Benefits Premiere

Well, I found out recently that my love for sassy redheads could only be trumped by my love for seeing the combination of red and pink on a sassy redhead. This Giambattista Valli number Emma Stone wore to the NY premiere of Friends with Benefits last week makes me just crazy I adore it so much! The second I saw the outfit I knew exactly the way I wanted her make up to look and feel, flirty and feminine with a touch of sex kitten. I went with a simple but strong cat eye shape on her eyes paired with fresh glowing skin and a sheer pink gloss on her lips. I wanted to make sure to work with the bold color palette she was wearing but keep it translucent enough so as not compete with it.

Here’s a quick breakdown of what I used on Emma to create this fun super girlie look:

I prepped her skin by mixing Clarins HydraQuench cream moisturizer with some Make Up For ever face and Body Make up #20 for lightweight coverage that allows the skin to come through and creates a natural glow.

On her cheeks I placed Burberry Light glow natural blush in “Peony” to the tops of her cheekbones and apples of her cheeks with a soft brush.

I sketched out the cat eye shape I was going for first with Chanel Le Crayon Khol eyeliner in “Noir.” Then defined the line and drew it up and out with Hourglass Calligraphy pen in Ebony.

I gave her lashes volume with two coats of Nuetrogena Healthy Volume mascara in Carbon Black.

On her lips I combined Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet in L’Exuberante with Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream creating a sheer shiny pink wearable pink.

This look was so easy to create and so much fun, I think I know where I’ll be taking my inspiration from next Valentines day. :)
