January Jones: Met Ball 2012

This years Met Gala was glamour as usual with loads of jaw dropping dresses, I mean does that Beyonce know how to make an entrance or what? January was a vision in yellow this year, donning yet another gorgeous Atelier Versace creation, they really are a match made in couture heaven. She paired her gown with an exquisite vintage Cartier gold and turquoise necklace. I loved the unexpected color combination and the way the whole thing really struck that delicate balance between modern and classic, something January seems to be becoming quite an expert at. For her make up I wanted the same so I chose a matte Coral for her lips, gold flecked eyes and loads of lashes. Making a fun color statement that wouldn’t try to compete with the dress.

Here’s a quick breakdown of what I used to create the look:
Her make up was all about fun spring color, so I chose CHANEL Rouge Allure Lipstick in Enjouee, a matte coral shade (available September) to create a prominent pastel mouth with a slightly playful feeling.
I used CHANEL Vitalumière Aqua Ultra-Light Skin Perfecting Makeup SPF 15 in Beige 10 on her skin for a smooth hydrated complexion.
I shaded her eye crease and cheekbones with Exclusive Creation Soleil Tan de Chanel Luminous Bronzing Powder in Sable Rose and embellished her lids and inner eyes with CHANEL Illusion D’Ombre in Vision (available November), a gold irridescent cream shade that played off the gold details of her vivid yellow gown and her turquoise and gold necklace.
I finished her eyes with CHANEL Inimitable Intense Mascara in Noir and filled in her brows with CHANEL Sculpting Eyebrow Pencil in Blond Clair.
January’s nails were painted with CHANEL Le Vernis Nail Colour in Beige.
